Every 991, 981 and 718 owner knows the routine. You grab a coffee, look for a place to put it, and end up choosing between the flimsy pop-out holder in the dash and your knee. Porsche gave you a small tray in front of the armrest that almost nobody uses. This center console cup holder turns that tray into what you actually needed.

It drops straight into the factory tray opening, so your drink sits low, centered and steady between the seats, not hanging off the dash over the passenger's knees. It's out of the way of the shifter and your elbow, and easy to reach without looking down.

A Porsche Center Console Cup Holder That Looks Factory

The satin black body matches the console trim, and the silver trim ring picks up the brightwork already in the cabin. A textured base keeps cups from sliding around, and internal grip tabs hold smaller cups and cans in place. Once it's in, it looks like it came from Zuffenhausen.

No Cutting, Fully Reversible

Nothing gets drilled, trimmed or glued. It slides into the same slot as the factory ashtray tray and uses the original mounting points. If you ever want the stock look back, pop the original tray back in. Your console stays untouched, which matters when it's time to sell.

Does not fit 987 Boxster/Cayman, 997, or 992 models. Their center consoles are a different design.

Installation Notes

Most owners finish in about 30 minutes with a plastic trim tool. No special tools, no cutting. Take your time lifting the switch panel. The button module is still wired in, so don't pull on the harness.

  1. Gently pry up the trim surrounding the shifter, starting at the rear edge, and work around the perimeter until the clips release.
  2. Lift the center switch panel carefully and set it aside without straining the wiring.
  3. Slide the factory ashtray or storage tray forward toward the shifter and remove it.
  4. Slide the cup holder into the same opening until it sits flush and secure.
  5. Reseat the switch panel and shifter trim, pressing each clip until it snaps into place.
