The BMW F8X M3 and M4 already run a relatively efficient factory intake, but ambient air in the engine bay is warmer than the air available from behind the kidney grilles. The Macht Schnell Intake Charge Scoops bolt behind the factory kidneys on the S55 chassis and redirect cold outside air into both factory airboxes, reducing charge temperatures and increasing oxygen density at the filter face.
