The Eventuri Black Carbon Intake System for the 2025+ Mercedes-AMG G63 (W465, M177) is a complete ground-up redesign of the factory intake, engineered to deliver measurable airflow gains, improved turbo efficiency, and a striking visual upgrade for the engine bay.
Designed specifically for the W465 platform, this system replaces the restrictive OEM airboxes with high-volume, 100% pre-preg carbon fiber housings that fully utilize the available space under the hood. By increasing intake volume and optimizing airflow geometry, Eventuri achieved approximately 25% greater airflow compared to the factory airboxes—while retaining the original cold air feeds to maintain stable intake temperatures.
The result is reduced restriction at the turbo inlets, lower wastegate duty cycle, sharper throttle response, stronger mid-range pull, and a more engaging induction sound under load.
Optimized Airbox Architecture
Each intake assembly features a two-piece upper and lower carbon fiber airbox design, separated by bespoke high-flow panel filters. This configuration maximizes internal volume while maintaining a direct, unobstructed airflow path to the turbochargers.
Due to the compact G63 engine bay, Eventuri focused on increasing internal height where gains mattered most—specifically through enlarged upper airbox lids. This refinement creates smoother transitions from filter to turbo inlet and significantly increases overall flow capacity.
Integrated into the system are precision CNC-machined breather modules, positioned immediately before the turbo outlets and designed to accept the OEM breather connections seamlessly. The airbox bases also feature machined mounting points that seat cleanly into the factory grommets for true OEM-level fitment.
OEM vs. Eventuri Intake Design
The factory G63 intake relies on long, narrow flexible ducts feeding compact airboxes—an approach that limits internal volume and introduces airflow inefficiencies before the filter surface.
Eventuri integrates the majority of the cold air feed directly into the airbox base, creating a larger internal volume and a smoother, more organic airflow path that exposes the filter evenly.
Additionally, the OEM airbox places the filter extremely close to the turbo inlet, forcing air through an abrupt rectangular-to-circular transition. This design creates stagnant zones, uneven filter utilization, and increased turbulence.
The Eventuri system lowers the filter position, allowing a smoother transition into the turbo inlet. This results in more uniform airflow, reduced turbulence, and lower drag on the turbochargers, directly contributing to improved efficiency and response.
Carbon Fiber Engine Cover Upgrade
To accommodate the increased intake volume, Eventuri engineered a completely redesigned engine cover, as the factory cover restricts space above the intake assemblies.
The new cover is constructed from pre-preg carbon fiber and features a red Kevlar center section with a herringbone carbon weave, delivering both the necessary clearance and a motorsport-inspired visual centerpiece for the engine bay.
Bespoke High-Flow Panel Filters
Custom-developed dry panel filters support the increased airflow demands of the system. These filters use a multi-layer dry filtration medium to provide effective particle capture while maintaining high flow rates.
The curved filter profile eliminates sharp internal corners within the airbox, helping maintain smooth, consistent airflow to the turbochargers under all operating conditions.
