SaleLook at almost any BMW from the side and the wheels sit a little too far inside the arches. The factory does it on purpose to cover every tire and chain combination. You do not need that margin, and 12mm per side is often exactly what it takes to make the car look planted instead of tucked in.
Dinan 12mm Wheel Spacers move each wheel outward to fill the fender properly or to gain clearance for a larger brake caliper. They are made for the BMW G chassis 5x112 bolt pattern with a 66.5mm center bore, CNC-machined from 6061 billet aluminum and anodized black. Sold as a set of 2, one axle per set.
Dinan 12mm Wheel Spacers: Precision Where It Counts
A spacer sits in the most safety-critical joint on the car, so how it is made matters more than how it looks. Dinan machines these from billet 6061 aluminum rather than casting them, with a weight saving design and a 66.5mm center bore sized to the BMW G chassis hub. The black anodized finish stands up to road salt and brake dust and disappears behind the spokes.
Lug Bolts, Fitment and What to Check Before You Order
Your factory lug bolts will be too short once a 12mm spacer is in place. You need longer M14x1.25 cone seat lug bolts, sold separately. Dinan offers them as D220-0005 (40mm), D220-0006 (45mm) and D220-0007 (50mm). The right length depends on your wheel, so ask us if you are unsure. Also confirm your car is a 5x112 BMW: E chassis and most F chassis cars use 5x120 and need a different spacer. Dinan part number D210-2028. Sold by AutoTecknic, an authorized Dinan dealer.

Vehicle Fitment
Fits BMW models that use Dinan's G chassis spacer fitment (5x112 bolt pattern, M14x1.25 lug bolts):
- BMW G chassis models (5x112, M14x1.25 lug bolts)
- BMW F90 M5 and F91 / F92 / F93 M8 (use the G chassis spacer fitment)
- BMW F48 X1 and F39 X2 (use the G chassis spacer fitment)
Not for: E chassis BMWs (5x120, M12x1.5 lug bolts) or F chassis BMWs outside the exceptions above (5x120). Dinan does not offer a spacer and bolt combination for the E39 5 Series or E/F chassis X5 and X6.
Installation Notes
If you can swap a wheel, you can fit these. The one step you cannot skip is the longer lug bolts. Never reuse factory bolts with a spacer.
- Loosen the lug bolts, raise the car on a lift or jack stands and remove the wheel.
- Clean any rust or debris from the hub face so the spacer sits flat.
- Slide the spacer over the hub and seat it flush.
- Refit the wheel with the correct length M14x1.25 cone seat lug bolts and torque them to BMW specification.
- Re-check lug bolt torque after the first drive.
