The Dinan Valved Axleback for the BMW G42 M240i addresses an engineering challenge the factory system never faced: running four tips from a single-valve architecture. The OEM system uses one valve to redirect all exhaust gases to the driver's side when running quietly, eliminating the passenger tip entirely. Dinan's engineers rejected that approach and integrated a second valve, giving the system symmetric flow control across all four exits. Tubing steps up from 70mm to 76mm throughout, and when both valves open under hard acceleration, gases bypass the muffler in a near-straight-pipe configuration. The result is a quad-tip system with genuine multi-valve behavior in a B48 package, finished with black ceramic-coated tips that resist heat discoloration.
