The factory plastic turbo inlets on the BMW F90 M5 and F9X M8 neck down dramatically as they approach the turbocharger compressor inlets, restricting air volume and forcing each turbo to work harder than the pressure ratio warrants. Dinan addresses this with a pair of turbo inlet pipes constructed from gloss UV-coated 2x2 carbon fiber, engineered through exhaustive prototyping to maximize flow while maintaining compatibility with either the factory airboxes or the full Dinan Cold Air Intake system. At the turbocharger end, a CNC-machined aluminum adapter interfaces using the factory locking mechanism for straightforward direct installation.
