This Dinan replacement air filter is the correct filter for the Dinan High Flow Carbon Fiber Intake on the BMW F10 M5 and the F06, F12 and F13 M6. It uses multi-layered cotton with deep pleats for flow and filtration, backed by steel wire mesh so it holds its shape. It is sold individually. Your car uses two, so order a pair to service both sides.
The Right Dinan Replacement Air Filter for Your Intake
This filter is made for Dinan's own carbon fiber intakes, part numbers D760-0035 and D760-0037. It is not a drop-in for the factory airbox. If your car still has the stock intake, this is not the filter you need. If you run the Dinan intake, this is the factory-correct replacement, so fit and seal match what came in the kit.
Deep pleats in multi-layered cotton give the filter more surface area, and the steel wire mesh keeps the pleats from collapsing or denting during handling and install. Dinan part number D401-0019. Sold by AutoTecknic, an authorized Dinan dealer.
Legal Status and Install Time
A filter swap does not change your emissions. Dinan lists this part as legal for sale or use on emissions-controlled vehicles, non-emissions-controlled vehicles and racing vehicles. Plan on about 30 minutes per filter, or about an hour for both sides.

Installation Notes
This is a simple service job with basic hand tools. Work on a cool engine.
- Let the engine cool and open access to the Dinan intake filters.
- Loosen the clamp and remove the old filter from one side.
- Wipe any debris from the intake inlet before fitting the new filter.
- Install the new Dinan filter, seat it fully and tighten the clamp.
- Repeat on the other side, then start the car and check for any warning lights.
