Dinan Performance Spring Set - BMW E92 335i / 335is Coupe (2007-2013)

The E92 335i coupe is one of the great turbo BMWs. Plenty of torque, a balanced chassis, and a shape that still looks right. What it has never had is tight body control. The factory springs let the nose dive under braking and the car lean through quick transitions, and that softness blunts the precision underneath.

The Dinan Performance Spring Set gives the BMW E92 335i and 335is Coupe calibrated spring rates that take out body roll and make the steering answer faster. It lowers the front by 1/2 inch and keeps the rear at stock height. You get a subtle rake correction, not a slammed look.

What the Dinan Performance Spring Set Changes

Stiffer, properly matched rates mean less compression at the rear when you get on the throttle, less dive at the front when you brake, and noticeably less roll through corners. The car stays flatter, the tires stay more evenly loaded, and the steering reacts more directly to what your hands do. The springs are CNC wound from high tensile chrome silicon wire and shot-peened for stress relief, so they hold their rate and height over time.

Pair These Springs With the Dinan Ride Quality Kit

This is the most important thing to know before you order. Dinan states that its performance springs should be purchased and installed with the matching Dinan Ride Quality and Handling Kit. That kit adds shorter, stiffer bump stops and spring perches made for the new ride height. Without it you can expect poor ride quality and handling, and Dinan's warranty will not cover those complaints. Both the 335i and the 335is have their own kit, so ask us if you are not sure which one you need.

Vehicle Fitment

Does not fit: E90 335i Sedan, E93 335i Convertible, E93 335is Convertible.

Installation Notes

Spring swaps need a spring compressor and the right experience, so we recommend a professional install. Dinan rates it at 5.3 hours of labor. Install the springs and the Ride Quality and Handling Kit at the same time, since both go in with the struts and shocks apart. Follow the Dinan instructions supplied with the kit.

1. Raise and support the car safely and remove the wheels.
2. Remove the front struts, compress the factory springs and disassemble each strut.
3. Rebuild each front strut with the Dinan spring and the Ride Quality Kit components.
4. Remove the rear springs and fit the Dinan rear springs with the kit components.
5. Reinstall everything, torque fasteners with the car at ride height and get a four-wheel alignment.
