Dinan 40mm lug bolts (part number D220-0005) are the M14x1.25 cone seat bolts Dinan specifies for its 10mm and 12mm wheel spacers on F and G-chassis BMWs. Same thread and seat style as your factory bolts, with the extra length a spacer demands. Set of 10, enough for one axle on a 5-lug BMW.
Choosing the Right Length: Dinan 40mm Lug Bolts
Lug bolt length is not one size fits all. It depends on how thick your spacer is. Dinan's ladder is simple: 33mm bolts for 4mm and 5mm spacers, 40mm bolts for 10mm and 12mm spacers, 45mm bolts for 15mm and 17mm spacers. These 40mm bolts are the match for Dinan's 10mm 5x112 spacer.
The bolt also has to match your wheel's seat. These use an OEM-style cone seat. Most BMW factory wheels are cone seat, but some aftermarket wheels use a ball seat or require different hardware, so check your wheel spec before ordering. Construction is steel with a black zinc coating for corrosion resistance and a finish that disappears behind dark wheels.

Vehicle Fitment
Dinan's application guide specifies M14x1.25 lug bolts for:
- BMW F-Chassis (5x120 / M14x1.25)
- BMW G-Chassis (5x112 / M14x1.25)
- BMW F9x M5 / M8 and F48 X1 / F39 X2 (exceptions that use the G-chassis fitment of 5x112 with M14x1.25 bolts)
Use this 40mm length only with a 10mm or 12mm spacer. Not for E-chassis BMWs (M12x1.5 thread) or wheels with a ball or flat seat.
Installation Notes
Install these at the same time as your spacers. No special tools beyond a torque wrench and the correct socket. Take one bolt and thread it fully by hand through the spacer before torquing anything, to confirm engagement.
- With the car supported on jack stands, fit the spacer and wheel to the hub.
- Thread all five bolts in by hand until the cone seats contact the wheel.
- Snug in a star pattern, lower the car and torque to your BMW's factory wheel bolt specification.
- Recheck torque after the first short drive.
