The Dinan High Flow X-Pipe Exhaust for the BMW F95 X5M and F96 X6M LCI removes the hydro-formed factory center section, resonator included, and replaces it with larger 3.25 in. T304 stainless steel tubing and a hand-made X-pipe crossover. The result is a more aggressive tone and a clear increase in volume over the stock system.
Why a Mandrel-Bent X-Pipe Sounds Better
Most X-pipes on the market are stamped. Dinan builds its crossover from mandrel-bent tubing, so the inside diameter stays consistent and restriction stays low. The X promotes even flow to both banks of tips, which cleans up the uneven, choppy nuances you hear from the stock mid-section. What is left is a louder, smoother and fuller V8 note.
Pair it with the Dinan Free Flow Axle-Back and you have a full cat-back system with no cutting of the factory exhaust. That combination turns the sound into a deeper, more aggressive growl that suits the way these trucks actually drive.
X-Pipe Fitment and Legal Status
This part is for the S68-powered LCI cars only, model years 2024-2026. It does not fit the 2020-2023 S63-powered X5M and X6M. Dinan confirms fitment with the stock axle-back and the Dinan Free Flow Axle-Back. Other axle-backs are not guaranteed. The X-pipe sits behind the catalysts, and Dinan classifies it as legal for sale and use on emissions-controlled vehicles. Dinan part number D660-0103. Sold by AutoTecknic, an authorized Dinan dealer.

Vehicle Fitment
Fits the following S68-powered BMW M SAV models (LCI):
- BMW X5M / F95 LCI (2024-2026): X5M Competition
- BMW X6M / F96 LCI (2024-2026): X6M Competition
Does not fit 2020-2023 pre-LCI F95 X5M or F96 X6M. Confirmed with the stock axle-back and the Dinan Free Flow Axle-Back only.
Installation Notes
Dinan lists 1.5 hours of labor. The center section is long and heavy, so a lift and a second person are strongly recommended.
- Let the exhaust cool completely, then raise the vehicle on a lift.
- Disconnect the factory center section at the secondary catalysts and at the axle-back.
- Unhook the factory section, including the resonator, from its hangers and remove it.
- Hang the Dinan X-pipe section and loosely fit the supplied hardware at both ends.
- Align the system for even tip position, tighten all hardware, then start the engine and check for leaks and contact.
