The Dinan Billet Aluminum Front Strut Tower Braces replace the factory front strut tower braces on the BMW G22, G23 and G26 430i and M440i. Machined from billet aluminum and finished in black anodize, they add rigidity to the front of the chassis and reduce flex under hard cornering, so steering inputs reach the tires with less delay.
Why Billet Aluminum Strut Tower Braces Sharpen the G2x
A strut tower brace ties the front suspension mounting points to the rest of the body so they move less relative to each other under load. Less movement means more consistent geometry mid-corner and a front end that feels more connected when you change direction. The black anodized finish also cleans up the engine bay with a look that matches the rest of a Dinan build.
Dinan Strut Tower Brace Install and Intake Compatibility
This is one of the easiest upgrades you can make to a G2x. It bolts on in about 15 minutes, reusing the factory hardware, with no drilling. Running an aftermarket intake? The braces work with the stock intake and with Dinan intakes that have the brace valley (D760-0058 and D760-0059). Installation Notes
A basic hand-tool job that most owners can do in their driveway. Follow the Dinan instructions included with the braces.
- Open the hood and remove any engine bay trim covering the factory braces.
- Unbolt and remove the factory front strut tower braces, keeping the hardware.
- Fit the Dinan braces in the same locations using the factory hardware.
- Torque all fasteners to spec and reinstall any trim.
