The Dinan Cold Air Intake for the BMW F90 M5 introduces a visual and functional centerpiece: a fully functional carbon fiber wishbone spanning the width of the engine compartment, mirroring the visual signature of the F8X M3/M4 bay. The wishbone is functional, serving as a conduit for a secondary air source drawn from a central inlet located behind the front grilles, supplementing the factory left and right airbox inlets with ambient air from outside the engine compartment heat zone. Both airboxes have been enlarged and equipped with higher-capacity filters to handle the increased airflow volume. Gloss UV-coated 2x2 carbon fiber covers the full system width for a presence that matches the engineering underneath.
