This Dinan Replacement Air Filter is the correct filter for the Dinan carbon fiber cold air intake on the BMW F95 X5 M and F96 X6 M. It is the same deep-pleated, multi-layer cotton filter that ships in the intake kit, with custom-molded ends that seal into the Dinan airbox. Generic filters are not made to this shape, and a poor seal lets unfiltered air reach the turbos.

This filter does not fit the factory airbox. It is for cars already running the Dinan intake.

Installation Notes

Filter replacement takes a few minutes per side with basic hand tools. Cover the turbo inlets while the airbox is open so nothing falls inside.

  1. Remove the Dinan airbox lid or access cover on one side.
  2. Loosen the clamp and remove the old filter.
  3. Install the new Dinan filter and tighten the clamp evenly.
  4. Refit the airbox lid, then repeat on the other side.
