Dinan Carbon Fiber Turbo Inlet Pipe - BMW G20 330i / G2X 430i / G42 230i B46 (2019-2024)
SaleThe B46 in your 330i or 430i is a punchy four-cylinder, and the turbo is doing most of the work. Before that turbo sees any air, it goes through a plastic inlet pipe with a resonator built in to hide the sound. That resonator costs you flow, adds turbulence, and mutes the one noise that tells you the turbo is spooling.
The Dinan Carbon Fiber Turbo Inlet Pipe replaces that factory plastic piece on the BMW G20 330i, G22/G23/G26 430i and G42 230i with a carbon fiber pipe and CNC-machined fittings. The resonator is gone and the flow path is larger and smoother. Dinan measures 24% more overall volume than the OEM inlet and an average internal diameter 12.5% larger from end to end.
What the Dinan Turbo Inlet Pipe Changes
A turbo is an air pump. The easier you make it for the compressor to pull air in, the more efficiently and responsively it works. Dinan's inlet removes the obstruction and enlarges the path for more uniform flow into the compressor. The byproduct is sound: you will hear more turbo spool and induction noise from the driver's seat.
It is real carbon fiber, not a wrapped plastic part, and it replaces a factory pipe that is known to crack with age. It is a direct OEM replacement, so there is no cutting or modifying anything else in the engine bay.
