The Dinan Gloss Carbon Fiber Engine Cover is a direct replacement for the factory plastic engine cover on the BMW F80 M3, F82 and F83 M4, and F87 M2 Competition. It swaps the most visible surface in the engine bay for real 2x2 twill carbon fiber with a deep gloss finish, and it goes on in about 15 minutes with no modifications.

This is 100% genuine carbon fiber, not a vinyl overlay or hydro-dipped OEM cover. The 2x2 twill is meticulously laid so the weave runs straight and uniform across the whole part, then sealed under a gloss clear coat for UV protection. It follows the shape of the factory cover, so it sits in the stock location and lines up with everything around it.

Installation Notes
This is one of the easiest upgrades you can make to an F8X M car. Dinan rates it at 0.25 hours, and you need no special tools. Do it on a cool engine.
- Let the engine cool completely.
- Lift the factory plastic engine cover straight up off its mounting points.
- Fit the supplied grommets to the Dinan carbon fiber cover.
- Align the cover over the mounting points and press it down evenly until it seats.
