The Dinan Carbon Fiber Cold Air Intake for the BMW 230i, 330i, and 430i on the G-Chassis brings the same full-airbox redesign philosophy to the B46-engined variants of the platform. The entire lower airbox has been reworked and enlarged, not just the lid, to house a filter 40% larger than the factory unit within the available engine bay footprint. A secondary inlet was incorporated after systematic testing of different opening geometries, with each configuration evaluated to confirm it supplies additional cool air without drawing heated engine bay air into the intake tract. The carbon fiber construction keeps the airbox lightweight and thermally insulating across both primary and secondary inlet paths.
