Dinan Front Camber Plate Kit - BMW E90 / E92 / E93 M3 (2008-2013)

The E9X M3 is one of the best-balanced cars BMW M ever built, and the high-revving S65 V8 begs you to use all of it. Take it to a track day, though, and the front tires start rolling onto their outside shoulders mid-corner. The chassis has more to give. The factory camber adjuster just runs out of range first.

The Dinan Front Camber Plate Kit for the BMW E90, E92 and E93 M3 fixes that at the strut top. It shifts the entire range of the stock camber adjuster by -0.7 degrees, so your alignment shop can dial in more negative camber than the factory hardware allows. More tire on the road in a corner means more front grip, sharper turn-in and less understeer.

How the E9X M3 Camber Plate Kit Adds Negative Camber

These plates do not replace your strut bearings or your stock adjuster. Each plate sits between the factory guide support and the bearing assembly, moving the whole adjustment window 0.7 degrees further negative. The stock adjuster still does its job. It simply starts from a more aggressive baseline.

Worried about eating the inside edges of your tires on the street? You stay in control. The kit adds range, not a fixed setting, so your aligner sets the final number. Use a moderate figure for daily driving or use the full range for track weekends. Left and right plates are machined specifically for each side and bolt to the factory locations with no cutting or drilling.

Dinan Camber Plate Install and Alignment

Plan on about 3.5 hours of labor. The front struts have to come out of the car, so this is a job for a shop or a DIYer comfortable with strut removal. A wheel alignment is required after installation. This is a suspension part with no effect on emissions and no tune or coding needed. Dinan part number D160-0003. Installation Notes

The front struts must be removed, and a wheel alignment is required afterward. Follow the Dinan instructions included with the kit and BMW's procedure for strut removal.

1. Remove both front strut assemblies following BMW's recommended procedure.
2. Separate each bearing assembly from its guide support, keep the studs, and remove the alignment pin from the guide support.
3. Install the studs into the Dinan plates and mount each plate on its marked side (L or R) with the engraved letter facing the engine.
4. Secure the plates with the supplied Allen bolts and jam nuts using Red Loctite 271, torqued to 18 ft-lbs.
5. Reinstall the bearing assemblies and struts, then have a wheel alignment performed.
