Dinan Adjustable Sway Bar Set 28mm/22mm - BMW F10 M5 / F06 / F12 / F13 M6 (2012-2019)

The S63 twin-turbo V8 in an F10 M5 or F-series M6 pulls hard enough to make you forget how big the car is. Then you turn in. The Dinan Adjustable Sway Bar Set replaces both factory anti-roll bars on the BMW F10 M5 and F06, F12 and F13 M6 with lightweight hollow tubular bars: 28mm front against the 24.5mm stock bar, and 22mm rear against the 21.5mm stock bar. You get flatter cornering, more grip at the limit, and the ability to set the front-to-rear balance to suit how you drive.

Adjustable Sway Bar Set Tuned for the F10 M5 and F-Series M6

Dinan built these bars around the weight and power of the S63 cars, not a generic 5 or 6 Series. The front bar is 35% to 53% stiffer than stock depending on the setting you choose. The rear is 39% to 72% stiffer. That spread matters. Leave the rear soft for a stable, predictable street car, or stiffen it to help the nose rotate on a track day.

Worried about ride quality on a car you drive every day? The adjustment range starts at a moderate step over stock, so you can begin conservative and firm it up later without buying anything else. Hollow construction keeps the weight down too: Dinan rates the front bar 44% lighter and the rear 29% lighter than equivalent solid bars.

How the Dinan Sway Bar Adjustment Works

The front bar has two mounting holes and comes with adjustable-length, left and right hand-threaded end links, giving three usable positions. The rear bar has three holes and uses your factory BMW end links. This is a suspension part with no effect on emissions. Dinan part number D120-0560. Sold by AutoTecknic, an authorized Dinan dealer.

Installation Notes

Dinan rates this install at 3.2 hours of labor. It is doable at home with a lift or good jack stands and a torque wrench, but most owners have a shop handle it. Follow the Dinan instructions supplied with the kit.

1. Safely raise and support the car at all four corners.
2. Disconnect the factory end links and remove the front and rear anti-roll bars.
3. Install the Dinan front bar with the supplied adjustable end links, set to your chosen position.
4. Install the Dinan rear bar using the factory end links in your chosen hole.
5. Set the end links with the car at ride height so the bars are unloaded, then torque all fasteners to spec.
6. Road test and adjust the balance in small steps if needed.
