Each spacer moves the wheel 20mm further from the hub, widening your track for a fuller stance and more room around big brake calipers. You get a pair, enough for one axle.
Why Dinan 20mm Wheel Spacers Are Worth It
A spacer that does not center on the hub shows up as a shimmy at highway speed. These are CNC-machined from billet 6061 aluminum and anodized black, with a 66.5mm bore cut to BMW's G-chassis hub diameter. The real question with any spacer is bolts. Your factory wheel bolts are sized for wheel-to-hub contact only. Add 20mm and you need bolts long enough to keep full thread engagement. Installation Notes
A bolt-on job with a jack, jack stands and a torque wrench. The one step you cannot skip is longer bolts: Dinan matches its 50mm M14x1.25 cone seat bolts to this spacer. At 20mm the wheel moves out a meaningful amount, so check tire-to-fender clearance at full steering lock and full compression, especially on staggered or aggressive-offset setups.
- Loosen the wheel bolts, raise the car and support it on jack stands.
- Remove the wheel and clean any rust or debris from the hub face.
- Slide the spacer over the hub pilot so it sits flush against the hub face.
- Mount the wheel and thread in the 50mm lug bolts by hand.
- Snug the bolts in a star pattern, lower the car and torque to your BMW's factory wheel bolt specification.
- Recheck torque after the first short drive.
