Seventeen millimeters is where a spacer stops being a fine-tune and starts changing how the car sits. Wheels with conservative offsets that looked lost inside the arches move right out to the fender line, and the car gains a wider, more planted stance from every angle.

Dinan 17mm wheel spacers (part number D210-2030) are machined for the BMW 5x112 bolt pattern and 66.5mm center bore used across the G-chassis lineup. Each spacer moves the wheel 17mm further from the hub, widening your track for a fuller stance and more room around big brake calipers. You get a pair, enough for one axle.

Why Dinan 17mm Wheel Spacers Are Worth It

Cheap spacers are where wheel fitment problems start. These are CNC-machined from billet 6061 aluminum and anodized black so they disappear behind the spokes. Dinan lists hub-centric rings on its larger spacer sizes, so the wheel is located by the hub and not by the bolts. The weight-saving design keeps unsprung mass down.

The real question with any spacer is bolts, and at 17mm it matters more than ever. Your factory wheel bolts are sized for wheel-to-hub contact only. Dinan calls out its 45mm M14x1.25 cone seat lug bolts for 15mm and 17mm spacers, so there is no guessing. Order them together and you are ready to bolt up. Sold by AutoTecknic, an authorized Dinan dealer.

Vehicle Fitment

Dinan specifies this spacer by chassis family, not by individual model:

  • BMW G-Chassis: 5x112 bolt pattern, 66.5mm center bore, M14x1.25 lug bolts
  • Dinan-listed exceptions that also use this G-chassis fitment: F90 M5, F91 / F92 / F93 M8, F48 X1, F39 X2

Not for E-chassis or 5x120 F-chassis BMWs. If your car is not a G-chassis model or one of the exceptions above, contact us before ordering.

Installation Notes

A bolt-on job with a jack, jack stands and a torque wrench. The one step you cannot skip is longer bolts: Dinan matches its 45mm M14x1.25 cone seat bolts to this spacer. Never reuse your factory bolts with a spacer. At 17mm the wheel moves out a meaningful amount, so check tire-to-fender clearance at full steering lock and full compression, especially on staggered or aggressive-offset setups.

  1. Loosen the wheel bolts, raise the car and support it on jack stands.
  2. Remove the wheel and clean any rust or debris from the hub face.
  3. Slide the spacer over the hub pilot so it sits flush against the hub face.
  4. Mount the wheel and thread in the 45mm lug bolts by hand.
  5. Snug the bolts in a star pattern, lower the car and torque to your BMW's factory wheel bolt specification.
  6. Recheck torque after the first short drive.
