Aramide is used instead of carbon fiber because carbon fiber blocks radio frequencies. The aramide construction delivers the same visual carbon-like aesthetic while maintaining full antenna function. This is a full replacement antenna, not a cover, and does NOT fit vehicles equipped with a carbon fiber roof.
