What It Does
Brake pad retaining springs — also called anti-rattle clips — hold your brake pads firmly in the caliper bracket, eliminating the movement that causes pad rattle and brake noise at low speed. Over time, stock springs weaken and lose tension. Replacing them during any brake pad service restores proper pad retention and eliminates the rattle that tends to develop on high-mileage or track-used calipers.

Installation Notes
Replace during any brake pad service. Standard hand tools required. No modifications needed.
- With caliper removed, slide out worn retaining springs from the caliper bracket
- Clean the caliper bracket contact surfaces before reinstalling
- Install new retaining springs — seat each clip fully with BMW lettering facing outward
- Reinstall brake pads and caliper per BMW service procedure
Note: Confirm your vehicle has standard (non-M-Sport) brakes before ordering. If your car came with M-Sport calipers from the factory or has M Performance brakes installed, this set will not fit.
