It is made from OEM-grade ABS with a UV-resistant, scratch-resistant clear coat, and it keeps the original tactile feel and click you already know.

Painted or wrapped overlays rely on adhesive film that lifts and discolors as the cabin heat cycles. This is not a film. The button is molded in color, then finished with a hard clear coat topcoat, so the red goes all the way through and the surface stands up to daily use. Only the button shell is replaced. The OEM connector and switch mechanism stay in place, so there is no wiring to touch and no special tools needed.

Vehicle Fitment
Fits LCI (facelift) models equipped with the Auto Start/Stop function:
- BMW X3M / F97 LCI (2022-2024): X3M and X3M Competition
- BMW X4M / F98 LCI (2022-2025): X4M and X4M Competition
Your vehicle must have the Auto Start/Stop system. Pick your chassis from the Vehicle Selection menu so the correct button ships.
Installation Notes
This is a button shell swap, not a wiring job. Take your time pulling the factory cap so you do not scratch the surrounding trim.
- Remove the factory button cap using extractor putty (available as an add-on) or a plastic trim tool.
- Press the AutoTecknic red button onto the OEM switch until it seats.
- Confirm the button clicks and starts the vehicle normally.
