The factory turbo muffler on the Macan MQB has a known fitment problem: nominal 51mm diameter with ±0.5mm manufacturing tolerance, which creates misalignment issues when swapping to aftermarket intakes or turbos. APR's two-piece design accounts for that variation by building the tolerance accommodation into the part itself. A Viton seal at the bottom flange ensures a leak-free connection regardless of where your factory casting lands within spec.
Removing the turbo muffler improves airflow through the intake path and sharpens throttle response. The factory unit exists primarily to dampen induction noise for NVH targets — on a modified or tuned Macan, it's a restriction. Black finish.
