The factory pads on a G80 M3 or G82 M4 stop well. They also coat your wheels in black dust within a week. iSWEEP front brake pads fix that with a compound matched to how you actually drive.

They're developed and made in Japan and drop straight into the factory M Compound front calipers, with nothing to modify. Pick the compound that fits your driving and you get cleaner wheels without giving up the stopping power you need.

Which G80 M3 / G82 M4 Brake Pad Compound Is Right for You?

IS1500 Street. The lowest-dust, quietest option, and owners report the difference in wheel cleanliness is night and day. The trade-off is that initial bite is softer than the factory metallic pads, and the compound isn't built for repeated hard stops. Choose it if your car lives on the street.

IS2000 Street / Sport. The balance most G8X owners settle on. Bite feels on par with stock, dust drops way down, and it handles spirited canyon driving with smooth, linear response. If you're not sure which to pick, start here.

IS3500 Track (special order). A dedicated race compound for severe track use on R-compound tires. It stays stable at extreme temperatures. It is not meant for the street.

Endurance (special order). iSWEEP's endurance racing compound. Contact us before ordering and we'll confirm it suits your car, tires, and events.

Installation Notes

A front pad swap is a straightforward job for anyone who has done brakes before. If you haven't, a shop can do it in under an hour. Bedding the new pads in properly matters as much as the install, and skipping it is the most common reason pads feel weak at first.

  1. Safely lift and support the front of the car, then remove the wheels.
  2. Unplug the wear sensor, remove the caliper retaining hardware, and pull the old pads.
  3. Install the new iSWEEP pads and refit the caliper hardware.
  4. Fit the new wear sensor if you ordered one. BMW sensors should be replaced along with the pads.
  5. Pump the brake pedal until it's firm before you drive.
  6. Bed the pads in with a series of medium-firm stops from about 55 mph down to 35 mph, then a few firmer stops, without coming to a full stop or holding the brakes at a standstill. Finish with an easy 15-minute drive to let them cool.
