H&R Sport Springs - BMW E71 X6M (2010-2014, Without Rear Self-Leveling)
SaleThe E71 X6M put M power, all-wheel drive, and a twin-turbo V8 under a coupe roofline, and it still pulls hard. What dates it is the ride height. A modest drop makes the whole car look a generation newer.
H&R Sport Springs deliver that drop without drama. These E71 X6M lowering springs lower the car 1.2 inches front and 1.2 inches rear, an even, factory-looking stance that trims the wheel gap and lowers the center of gravity. This kit, H&R part number 50435-3, is for X6M models without rear self-leveling suspension.
E71 X6M Lowering Springs: Check Your Rear Suspension First
H&R makes separate E70/E71 kits for cars with and without factory rear self-leveling air suspension, and they are not interchangeable. This listing is the version without rear self-leveling. If your X6M has rear self-leveling, choose the H&R E71 X6M With Rear Self-Leveling kit instead. Not sure which you have? Send us your VIN before you order and we will confirm it.
H&R designs its Sport Springs to work with the factory dampers, so there is no need to replace your shocks. The progressive spring design keeps the ride compliant over rough roads while reducing body roll in corners. Every spring is made in Germany from shot-peened 54SiCr6 spring steel and tested in an ISO 9001 certified facility, so it holds its height. Sold by AutoTecknic, an authorized H&R dealer.

Installation Notes
Professional installation is strongly recommended. Coil springs are stored energy, and swapping them safely requires a proper spring compressor and suspension experience. A four-wheel alignment is required after installation, because lowering changes camber and toe. Plan on roughly a half day at a qualified shop.
- Raise and securely support the vehicle, then remove the wheels.
- Remove the front strut assemblies and use a spring compressor to swap the factory springs for the H&R springs, reusing the factory mounts and hardware.
- Complete the rear of the car following H&R's instructions for your exact configuration.
- Torque suspension fasteners to factory spec with the vehicle at ride height, not hanging on the lift.
- Let the springs settle for a few hundred miles, then get a full four-wheel alignment.
