Dyno-confirmed output: +6 HP and +5 lb-ft at 6,600 RPM, and the system weighs 4 lbs less than stock.
The OEM G42 M240i exhaust uses a single valve that routes all gases through the muffler and out one tip when closed, compromising flow balance and tip symmetry. Dinan engineers retained the factory valve actuator and added a matching second unit, so both outer tips open fully under high-load conditions for a deep, even tone across all four tips. When valves are closed, gases route through the muffler and exit the two inner tips for a civilized cabin with no low-speed drone.
