Dinan Front Camber Plates - BMW E82 / E88 / E90 / E92 / E93 1 Series and 3 Series (2006-2013)
SaleLower an E90 or E92 on better tires, drive it the way it wants to be driven, and two things happen. The front end starts to push in tight corners, and the outside shoulders of your front tires wear out long before the rest of the tread. The factory front strut mounts simply do not allow enough negative camber to stop it.
The Dinan Front Camber Plates for the BMW E82 and E88 1 Series and E90, E92 and E93 3 Series fix that with an additional -0.7 degrees of front camber. More negative camber keeps more of the tire flat on the road when the car leans into a corner. Dinan's stated result: decreased understeer and decreased outside edge tire wear.
Fixed Offset Camber Plates Built for Street Ride Quality
These are not fully adjustable plates, and that is on purpose. Dinan kept the factory bushings and avoided an adjustable design because that is what preserves the ride quality you bought the car for. You get a set, proven amount of extra camber without the harshness and extra noise that often come with solid adjustable plates. For a street car that sees the occasional canyon run or track day, it is the right trade.
Dinan Camber Plate Install and Alignment
Dinan quotes about 3.5 hours of labor, because the front struts have to come out. A four-wheel alignment afterward is a must to set the new camber and toe correctly. Dinan part number D160-0004. Sold by AutoTecknic, an authorized Dinan dealer.

Installation Notes
This is a strut-out job. An experienced DIYer with spring compressors can do it, but most owners will want a shop. Follow the Dinan instructions included with the plates.
- Raise and support the front of the car and remove the front wheels.
- Remove each front strut assembly from the car.
- Compress the spring safely and swap the factory upper mount hardware for the Dinan camber plate, reusing the factory bushing.
- Reinstall the struts and torque all fasteners to spec.
- Get a full four-wheel alignment before driving hard.
