The G01 X3 M40i and G02 X4 M40i run BMW's B58 straight-six — an engine with significant untapped potential that the stock intake system deliberately holds back. Dinan's cold air intake replaces the factory airbox and intake path with a high-flow system that draws cooler air from outside the engine bay's heat zone, improving charge density and reducing the power loss that heat soak causes during sustained performance driving.

Designed specifically for the B58TU engine in the G01/G02 chassis, the system uses a large-diameter intake tube and performance filter to increase airflow without triggering a fault code or requiring an ECU retune. Engineered to operate within factory intake manifold pressure targets, it's a straightforward bolt-on for both stock and lightly modified X3 M40i and X4 M40i applications.
