The Dinan Carbon Fiber Cold Air Intake for the BMW X5 M and X6 M incorporates a secondary air inlet fed by a hood scoop positioned behind the front grilles, developed through continuous CFD analysis to deliver an even, undisturbed supply of ambient air to each airbox. The scoop feeds a newly formed inlet hump at the front of the engine compartment, with carbon fiber runner accents that serve as both visual elements and physical guides directing secondary airflow into the system. Both the left and right airboxes have been enlarged and equipped with high-capacity filters to handle the combined primary and secondary air volume, drawing entirely from air outside the engine compartment heat zone.
