The G80 M3 and G82 M4 rear end is already aggressive from the factory. The question isn't whether it needs work, it's where the right intervention is. The answer is the upper diffuser surround, and Dinan found the right way to address it.
Rather than replacing the full diffuser assembly and creating clearance problems with aftermarket exhaust configurations, Dinan designed a carbon fiber accent piece that replaces only the upper surround. The factory gloss black lower diffuser section stays in place. You get carbon fiber where it's most visible without compromising compatibility with the exhaust setup you already have or plan to run.
The surround is manufactured from 2x2 gloss twill pre-preg dry carbon fiber. Pre-preg construction achieves higher fiber-to-resin ratios than wet lay-up processes, producing a part that is lighter, stiffer, and more dimensionally consistent. A UV-protective clear coat over the weave prevents fading and surface degradation over time.
Mounting uses the factory tabs already built into the car. No drilling, no adhesive, no modification. The surround installs the way a factory part would, because it was designed around the factory mounting interface.
Paired with Dinan's Rear Side Splitters, the two pieces combine to create a cohesive full rear diffuser look: elevated over stock, restrained enough to complement the factory design, and clearly executed in real carbon fiber rather than vinyl wrap or hydrodip.

Installation Notes
