You didn't buy an S2000 to keep it stock. Every mod you've made has been deliberate. Your door panels deserve the same treatment. These dry carbon fiber replacement door panels from AutoTecknic are engineered from scratch to replace your factory plastic panels entirely. Not a clip-on overlay. Not a hydrodipped shell. Real pre-preg dry carbon fiber, precision 3D scanned from an S2000 chassis, built to fit exactly like OEM.

Pre-preg construction keeps weight down and fiber density up. The result is a 3K 2x2 twill weave carbon surface with a satin finish that lets the weave do the talking. No heavy gloss coat, no filler. The kind of finish that looks right in a stripped-out cockpit and holds up under real use. Every mounting point, every cutout, every clip location mirrors the factory geometry. Installation is a straight swap with no cutting or modification required.

Why Dry Carbon

Standard wet carbon parts use excess resin to form the panel, which adds weight and requires additional finishing to look presentable. Pre-preg dry carbon is cured under heat and pressure with only the resin already embedded in the fiber. No excess, no bloat. The result is a lighter, stiffer panel compared to factory plastic or wet-layup carbon alternatives. For a car where every gram counts, that distinction matters.

Installation Notes

These panels are direct replacements for the factory door panels. Plan for 1-2 hours per door. If your car has power windows, you will need to transfer your factory window switches, vapor barrier, and any speaker grilles from your OEM panels to the carbon replacements before fitting.

  1. Remove factory door panel using a trim panel removal tool to release OEM clips
  2. Disconnect any electrical connectors (window switches, speaker connectors)
  3. Transfer OEM mounting hardware, clips, and electrical components to the carbon panels
  4. Reinstall vapor barrier onto the carbon panel prior to fitting
  5. Align panel to door and press firmly to seat all clips
  6. Reconnect electrical connectors and verify window switch operation before closing door

No cutting, trimming, or drilling required. Panels are designed to use all existing OEM mounting locations.

S2000 CR owners (2008-2009): The CR was built without power windows. No window switch transfer is required. Standard vapor barrier reinstallation applies.
