AutoTecknic Dry Carbon Competition Oil Cap Cover - BMW F97 X3M / F98 X4M (2020-2025)
Pop the hood on your X3M or X4M and the S58 is the star. The plastic oil cap sitting on top of it is not. It is the one piece you look at every time you check the oil, so it should look like the rest of the build.
The AutoTecknic dry carbon oil cap cover fits over the factory oil cap on the BMW F97 X3M and F98 X4M. It is made from pre-preg carbon fiber cured in an autoclave, laid in a consistent 3K 2x2 twill weave, and finished in black carbon or red carbon.
Why a Dry Carbon Oil Cap Cover
Dry carbon gets its name from the process. Pre-preg carbon, already impregnated with resin, is placed in a mold and cured under vacuum in an autoclave. That method creates less waste and produces a lighter part than the wet layup method, with fewer pinholes and virtually no air pockets. AutoTecknic's pre-preg carbon to resin ratio gives the cover high stiffness and strength, and the high gloss UV-resistant clear coat resists yellowing and does not chip or flake. Every part is inspected before it ships.

Installation Notes
No tools and no modification. The cover affixes on top of your factory oil cap like a glove and installs in seconds. Only install it with the engine cool.
- Make sure the engine is cool and the factory oil cap is clean and dry.
- Line the cover up with the factory oil cap.
- Press the cover down over the cap until it is fully seated.
