Akrapovic Slip-On Line Titanium Exhaust System - W206/ S206 C63 / C43 AMG
This new exhaust is constructed from high-grade titanium and finished with a pair of twin bumper-mounted tailpipes with hand-crafted carbon-fiber outer sleeves and high-grade titanium inner sleeves. Special parts have been created to accentuate the acoustic performance and offer a unique sound. A specific collector inside each of the two mufflers has been conceived to eliminate streaming noise, and inner cones within the titanium tailpipes act as acoustic reflectors and partially direct sound from the tailpipes forward to the cabin, providing an incredible sound experience. The level of sound from the Akrapovič Slip-On Line (Titanium) is linearized, corresponding to engine load and revs. It provides a smooth and refined tone at cruising speeds, which gradually becomes sportier when driving more dynamically. This sound balance is finely controlled by two exhaust valves and a control kit, which monitors driving parameters and precisely controls the opening and closing of the valves to create a distinctive and finely tuned soundtrack.
Performance has not been overlooked, and the Mercedes-AMG C 43 4MATIC delivers an increase of 6.6 kW (8.6 hp) at 6,650 rpm in power and a rise of 13.5 Nm of torque at 2,650 rpm, while the Mercedes-AMG C 63 S E PERFORMANCE recorded a power increase of 7.1 kW (9.6 hp) at 2,000 rpm and a torque gain of 33.7 Nm at 2,000 rpm when tested on the Akrapovič dyno against the same car with a standard stock exhaust. Weight has also been reduced through the use of race-proven lightweight materials, with the Slip-On Line (Titanium) losing 26.5% (3.6 kg) compared to the standard stock version of the Mercedes-AMG C 43 4MATIC exhaust and 26.8% (3.7 kg) has been reduced from the equivalent standard exhaust of the Mercedes-AMG C 63 S E PERFORMANCE.
